Authentic Japanese food - ma and pa restaurant. Many locals consider this the best Japanese restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. The sushi is slightly expensive and would be a good idea for a celebration of some kind. There are cheaper options such as the udon or curry as well. The good quality of ingredients are very good and they had some really great touches such as shiso in the umeboshi roll. The deserts as well are a gem and a departure from the usual Mochi ice cream seen in the usual Asian fusion places. The service was a little slow and the ambiance could be updated. Perhaps that’s the charm.

Ando has been my absolute favorite restaurant for a few years now and in my opinion, the best sushi in the city. We often come here before leaving for a business trip or when returning from one. It's a very nice tradition we've started. I recently went and had a lovely dinner there. Here's what I had: Sushi: Fatty Tuna nigiri BBQ Unagi nigiri Salmon Roll Spicy Tuna Roll Appetizers: Gyoza Beef Amiyaki (one of their current specials) The meal was so good that I came back a couple days later and ate at the sushi bar again. I tried the Matcha Mascarpone cheesecake and added Anko (red bean) on top which was phenomenal. The Ootoro/fatty tuna nigiri is my favorite, it is so buttery and the yuzu kosho that comes on top adds a nice citrus pepper finish. I look forward to the next time I eat there. Thank you so much for all these delicious meals over the years!

Updated 3/30/24: They moved to a new location, bigger, nicer place. Ordered sushi dinner, curry rice with Katsu, gyu suji, gyoza. Also they have the liquor license. They only carry Kirin & Sapporo beers, no Asahi from the Japanese beer list. Best sushi and very authentic. Added more pictures! Original: I've been coming here for few times now. The best sushi in Cincinnati, very authentic. The fish is tasty, fresher than other sushi restaurants in Cincinnati. This place reminds me of sushi in Tokyo, Japan. The service was quick, friendly. The price is comparable to other 'so-so' sushi place around Cincinnati.

Might be the best Japanese Sushi/Sashimi place in town! Fresh fish from Japan or Spain with some other fishes from Maine, I love the Blue fin tuna. Not a cheap place, you need 50-75 per person for dinner.

The best!! Husband and kids crave ANDO's sushi... most amazing they've ever had! No one compares! I get either the Chicken Teriyaki or Beef Amiyaki - cooked perfectly, clean, full of flavor, and very satisfying! When it's time for dessert, the Brown Sugar Ice Cream is unforgettable! Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating! WE LOVE ANDO!!

Food and service was great, especially being all the way out in cincy area. Atmosphere was mediocre, but not one to complain about. Their sushi definitely more on the expensive side when comparing to even the major cities, but one of the better end sushi places you can get.

brought my boyfriend for his birthday and i’m glad we discovered this place! service was excellent. everyone was welcoming and our server was helpful in dish recommendation and description. the atmosphere was relaxed and authentic. while the food is a bit expensive, it is well worth the price as it is fresh, quality, and delicious! while i’m not the biggest seafood fan, i really enjoyed the cod appetizer and a good amount of the sashimi in the dinner platter. as well, the katsu curry with pork was tasty and i had enough for leftovers. from appetizers to desserts, we were satisfied with the whole experience. even the matcha is a must. thank you for such a great dinner, we can’t wait to come back and try more! (we really want to try the flan )

Very intimate place. Great for a date. The service is always up to par. The food is amazing...a little on the pricey side, but worth it in my opinion. One of the best places to get sushi in the tri-state area!
